Britney Ledford, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor
Hey there, I’m Britney!
My path started with a degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, followed by earning my Master’s in Family Therapy at Mercer University. I’ve sat with individuals and families through their deepest heartbreak, heaviest panic, and most overwhelming seasons. What that taught me is simple: nothing you bring to our sessions will shock me, and no emotion is too messy or heavy for us to unpack together.
Whether you’re dealing with major life transitions, working through relationship strain, or simply trying to get unstuck, my focus is helping you reclaim your voice and your agency. We’ll untangle what’s weighing you down, find what actually works for your life, and take things one grounded step at a time.
Whenever you’re ready, I’m here. Let’s do the work together.

Sessions with me are a space where you can drop the mask and stop pretending you have everything under control. Clients often tell me they feel an immediate sense of relief because they don't have to perform or clean up their thoughts before speaking.
We’ll have real, down-to-earth conversations about whatever is weighing on you. Nothing you bring to our time together will shock me, and no emotion is too heavy or messy for us to tackle. You get to show up as you are, from the comfort of your own home, and receive genuine warmth, zero judgment, honest feedback, and the occasional guest appearance from my two cats, Houdini and Hoax.

I specialize in guiding children, adolescents, parents, and families on their journey toward better mental well-being. I approach challenges through the lens of family systems theory, deeply understanding how issues like peer problems, trauma, transitions, bullying, or school stress affect not just individuals but entire family units. My focus is on enhancing communication within the support network, empowering clients to access the vital support they need to flourish.
